A Note From Rene’
When is the last time you dealt with burnout? What about your team? I’m hearing more and more about people dealing with stress that is leading to burnout. I don’t know if it is a consequence of the pandemic, economic uncertainty, financial pressures, the housing market, or some combination thereof, but it is real. I recently saw this article in HBR and really liked the two-minute checkup. It’s quick and easy and accurate. You can use it multiple times throughout the year and your team will benefit from this tool. Give it a try and let me know your results.
Also, I’ve recently learned about a software platform that I’m thrilled to introduce to you; it’s Ninety, https://www.ninety.io/ . I have several clients who run their businesses on EOS, and this software is perfect for that or any other business operating system. I’ve included some information below for your reference. I’ve started using it for FocalPath and it’s great. I get email reminders of when things are due or are upcoming. It’s a great accountability tool and helps with focus. If you are interested in participating in a demonstration, please let me know and I will introduce you to my contacts and get you set up. After that, they offer a free 30-day trial (that is, after they populate your data for you!).
As always, I would love to hear what going on in your world.

A Two-Minute Burnout Checkup
Burnout is devastating. A few years ago, deep in the throes of it, I found myself grasping for tools or frameworks to help me get to the other side.
If you’re facing a similar situation, let me share a few things I wish I had known earlier. First, I’ll outline the basics about the signs of burnout and the aspects of our work that tend to cause it. Second, I’ll share a two-minute burnout checkup I created to monitor my own mental well-being and to make sure I don’t reach the point of burning out again.
