A Note From Rene’

Were you aware that “more than 25 million people quit their jobs in the second half of 2021?”

As we all struggle with the labor shortage, focusing on the staff we have needs to be a top priority. I’ve included one article this month that has some great ideas on how to retain talent. Making it a more engaged environment will make a huge difference.

The second article is on the importance of onboarding new talent. In a recent conversation with a new client, I asked about their onboarding process. After some silence, it was clear that they really didn’t have one. As the conversation progressed, they began to realize the need for a true onboarding experience.

Although most of the rhetoric around the Great Resignation is centered on American workers in office jobs, labor shortages are growing around the globe in a wide range of sectors and types of roles. Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Asia are also in the midst of labor market turbulence, relating to both so-called “skilled” and “unskilled” labor.
